Getting Started. For real this time.

I was invited by one of the most extraordinary women in this world to come to her yearly retreat in the mountains to spend an extended weekend with other likeminded and interesting ladies. All of whom are very accomplished, entertaining, and talented. So I was very honored to be invited. And then utterly terrified as one of the requirements to attend was to give a presentation about something going on in your life. Any topic as long as it was 15 minutes or less.

I had nothing. Zero.

But it dawned on me that maybe instead of talking about what I had done, I would talk about what I would do.

My presentation was about the limitations we place on ourselves. That we talk ourselves out of doing many things because they are hard to achieve, or we think we’re too old or it’s too late. It’s just fear that keep us away from our dreams. So I shared my dream of wanting to learn to play the violin. I then vowed to that group of ladies that 1 year from that weekend I would stand before them, violin in hand, and to play them a few songs.

And with that I started restarted the journey again.I was invited by one of the most extraordinary women in this world to come to her yearly retreat in the mountains to spend an extended weekend with other likeminded and interesting ladies.
