Antonín Dvořák – Sonatina in G major, Op. 100

When I first listened to this I thought “I could actually play this one.” After a little bit of research I now know why.

It was the last chamber composition he wrote during his sojourn in America. Dvořák catered the sonatina to the gradually developing musical abilities of his children, especially those of his 15 year-old daughter Ottilie and 10 year-old son Toník.

Well, that explains that…

What I like the most about this collection is that I am continuously surprised by what I find.
